IHF Foundation

Profile of the foundation

The foundation Institute for Myocardial Infarction Research promotes clinical research in the field of cardiovascular diseases, especially health care research and quality assurance in clinical practice. As a non-profit institution, the IHF foundation sees itself as an Academic Research Organization (ARO) that also conducts cardiovascular research that is not commissioned by industry. This is where the IHF distinguishes itself from classical contract research organizations (CROs).

History

The IHF foundation was founded in 2000 by Professor Dr. Jochen Senges. Since then, registries and studies have been initiated and performed, resulting in more than 1,000 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Such a result was and is only possible due to a close cooperation with the leading cardiologists in Germany and Europe. This scientific network marks up the IHF foundation.
